For the past fifteen years Pye Tait has worked with Government departments, regional and local agencies, sectoral bodies, and a wide range of specialist organisations in the fields of skills, and labour market analysis.
Our analysts use high quality data for secondary analysis - including the National Employer Skills Survey (NESS), the Office of National Statistics' Labour Force Survey (LFS), and the Annual Business Inquiry/Annual Employer Survey (ABI/AES), and, of course, the national census where appropriate.
These data can be supplemented by direct primary research based on such techniques as
- Face to face interviews
- Delphi Groups
- Focus groups
- Surveys - postal, telephone or web-based
All our survey research is designed, piloted and then carried out in-house. We have the capability to design, organise and complete postal surveys of up to 30,000 mailings, telephone surveys of up to 1,500 completed forms per month (based on complex employer skills templates), and our in-house web staff can design and establish on-line survey and polling systems within a matter of hours (assuming basic design of questions and analysis systems have been completed).
We use the latest versions of SNAP and SPSS to database and analyse data.
